Apple has unveiled its new iPad at an event in San Francisco – the iPad Pro.
Apple said the iPad Pro is the most “capable and powerful” iPad ever created, and sports the “most advanced display” the company has ever built.
The iPad Pro features a 12.9-inch, 5.6-million pixel display – which is superior to the Retina screen used on the MacBook Pro.
“It has the biggest screen of an iOS device, and more power and performance than any other iOS device,” said Apple.
The Pro is powered by Apple’s A9X processor – which Apple said is almost twice as fast as the A8X in the iPad Air 2.
In fact, Apple claims the Pro is 80% faster than portable PCs shipped in the last six months, while graphics will be “console-class”.
The Pro also features a full-size virtual keyboard, smart keyboard accessory, four speakers, an 8MP iSight camera, Touch ID, and a 10-hour battery life.
A stylus, called the Apple Pencil, will also be available with the device.
Using iOS 9, the Pro will be able to handle multiple task simultaneously on its screen – such as Word and Excel running side-by-side.

The iPad Pro will be available in Space Gray, gold, and silver, from November 2015.
Pricing is as follows:
- 32GB Wi-Fi – $799
