Tough solar charger for your smartphone for R199

Vodacom will sell the new SunStream solar charger, the operator has announced.

World Panel solar chargers do not use printed circuit boards or chipsets – technology it has patented in the United States.

The SunStream features a USB output which lets it charge any device that supports the standard.

It is water submersible, and operates while under water.

Drop tested up to 2 meters, it is made with a shatterproof glass face and a polymer case which is UV stable and remains cool to the touch in extreme heat.

Vodacom will sell the device at a recommended retail price of R199.
