New LG smart TVs with webOS 3.0 coming

LG’s new range of smart TVs will be unveiled at CES 2016 in Las Vegas, along with webOS 3.0.
WebOS is the software platform LG uses in its smart TVs, which it acquired from HP in 2013.
Among the additions to webOS 3.0 are LG’s “magic smart” features: Magic Zoom, Magic Mobile Connection, and an upgraded Magic Remote
Magic Zoom lets you magnify objects and letters without degradation in picture quality.
With Magic Mobile Connection you can connect a mobile phone to your TV via the LG TV Plus app, which will let you access mobile apps on the TV screen.
The upgraded Magic Remote is designed to make controlling set-top boxes such as decoders easier, with the addition of buttons on the remote.
Other features included in webOS 3.0 include:
G SMART TV with webOS 3.0 offers an abundance of other new and updated features to take home viewing to a whole new level of entertainment:
- Channel Advisor analyses viewing patterns and displays upcoming time slots with program information about frequently watched programs.
- Multi-view lets you watch two different channels at the same time, or a channel and a Blu-ray movie.
- The Music Player app plays music through the webOS 3.0 TV speakers, even when the TV is off.
- The IoTV app allows on-screen control of compatible smart home appliances from LG and other manufacturers.
