Samsung reveals 2016 SUHD TV line-up

Samsung has revealed its new range of high-end televisions at CES 2016, including a bezel-less, curved 10-bit Quantum dot display TV called the KS9600.

Excellent picture quality, high dynamic range, and IoT hub technology all feature in the new units from Samsung.

This lets the TV act as the controller for a smart home, said the company.

Samsung also unveiled its Smart Control remote, which its said will eliminate the need to juggle multiple remote controls.

Samsung said its Smart TVs will automatically detect the type of set-top box, game console, or home theatre system connected to it, and let you control the external device with no setup required.

Some of the other features of Samsung’s 2016 TV range are:

  • Console-less Gaming – Samsung will offer more than 500 streaming and downloadable games on it 2016 smart TV range.
  • EXTRA Service – Pressing the EXTRA button on the Samsung Smart Control will bring up information related to the content being watched – such as player profiles and stats during sporting events.
  • Smart View – The Smart View app – on Android, iOS, and Windows PCs – lets you find media on your device and send it to the TV screen.
