Samsung Gear S2 now in 18K Rose Gold and Platinum
Samsung has revealed two new editions to its Gear S2 wearables range at CES 2016: one encased in 18K Rose Gold and another in Platinum.
The new Gear S2 classic models will include NFC technology to offer Samsung Pay, which Samsung said will be available to users in the United States in early 2016.
In addition to the new cases, Samsung said it is expanding its line of watch straps and watch face options.
Samsung has partnered with designers like Colombo on premium watch straps for the Gear S2.
Samsung said it is also working to expand the capabilities of the devices.
“CNN and Bloomberg Gear S2 apps, together with its watch face feature, have been a few of the more popular apps, followed by apps like eBay, ESPN, Uber, and Voxer,” said Samsung.
The Gear S2 classic Rose Gold will come with an ivory leather band, while the Platinum case will have a black leather band.
The new editions will be on sale from the start of February.
