Things aren’t looking good with regards to the rand vs US dollar battle, which is bad news for tech lovers as most of the good gear is imported and paid for in foreign currency.
The exchange rate has been thrashing around the R16.50 to R17 mark this week, and is expected to continue weakening.
If this continues, I’m afraid we’ll have to stop the weekly tech deals article – as there won’t be any affordable products to feature.
We could turn the article into a “Great second-hand tech deals” piece, where readers sell their tech on our site with the aim of making some moolah.
Certain items will be banned from being sold, though, like the Staff Writer’s keyboard and hard drive. I won’t go into detail.
Until then, here are non-used gadgets which you can buy this weekend.
