Shut up and take my money

Over the last few months, many great new products have been unveiled – including a jet turbine-powered jetpack and a micro-drone which can follow you around.
Many of these gadgets and tech products were unveiled at the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2016) held in Las Vegas in January.
While many companies had commercial launches for their products at the event, others unveiled prototypes to show off what they were working on.
Here are some cool gadgets which will be difficult to resist if you have money in the bank.
Onagofly Nano Drone – $199
The Onagofly Nano Drone is a palm-sized drone with GPS auto-follow and a high-resolution video camera. It takes off from your palm and has an easy user interface for navigation.
JB-9 JetPack – no pricing yet
The JB-9 JetPack is a jet turbine-powered backpack that is capable of vertical take-off and landing, is light and small, and can be carried around by the pilot.
Cross Desk – $1,699
The Cross Desk is a PC desk which doubles as the case for hardware, liquid and air cooling systems, lighting, and anything else you may want to throw in it.
Immersit – No pricing or launch date
Immersit will enable you to physically feel everything taking place on your TV screen while sitting on the couch.
Immersit brings the “4D thrill” to your home with a product that can be used with any couch.
Sensorwake – $110
Sensorwake is an alarm clock which wakes you with a timed release of an aroma. When the alarm goes off, Sensorwake pops open a hatch and gradually releases fragrance until nearby sleepers wake up.
Parrot Disco – no pricing, will launch in 2016
Parrot’s fixed-wing consumer drone called the Disco is the first wing-shaped drone you can pilot “as easily as playing a video game”.
Its autopilot and various sensors – including accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, barometer, Pitot, and GPS – help control its flight and prevent manoeuvres that could bring it down.
Nikon D5 – $6,499
The Nikon D5 boasts new imaging innovations, including a Nikon-developed 20.8-megapixel CMOS sensor, a 153-point AF system, and 4K UHD video capture.
Integrated EXPEED 5 image processing gives photographers the “best balance of performance, precision, and low-light ability”.
Faraday FFZERO1 – a concept car
Faraday Future has unveiled its concept EV race car, the FFZER01, which produces over 1,000hp (745kW), goes from 0-100km/h in under 3 seconds, and will break the 320km/h mark.
EHang 184 – prototype only
The EHang 184 is the world’s first electric personal autonomous aerial vehicle.
The 184 is capable of flying a passenger to a destination entered into its accompanying mobile app. Passengers have no need for a pilot’s licence – they sit back and let the drone do the work.
Emicro One Folding Electric Scooter – $1,000
The Emicro One is the first motion-controlled electric scooter, where every kick or push starts the motor and gives you additional speed – with a maximum of 20 km/h possible.
SCiO – $249
SCiO is the world’s first “affordable molecular sensor” that fits in the palm of your hand.
SCiO is a tiny spectrometer that allows you to get information about the chemical composition of materials around you.
GoPlug bag – $229
A GoPlug bag contains power banks that can charge your electronic devices.
Its rechargeable lithium-polymer battery has the capacity to charge your smartphone up to 18 times, your e-reader up to 7 times, your tablet twice, or up to 3 full charges of your laptop.
Inception coffee table – $5,000
Inspired by the film Inception, this coffee table is a mixture of wood, steel, and 3D-printed components.
