Xiaomi unveils virtual reality headset

Xiaomi has launched the Mi VR Play headset, which the company said improves on the design typically used in VR products.

The Mi VR Play is wrapped in lightweight Lycra for comfort, and will be available in a selection of prints and colours.

“The unique two-way zipper helps to ensure compatibility, providing a secure grip on a wide range of 4.7- to 5.7-inch smartphones,” said Xiaomi.

“At the same time, the dual openings on the front allow for slight positioning adjustments and ventilation.”

The Xiaomi Mi VR Play is currently only available to beta users in China.
