Apple discontinuing third-generation Apple TV
Apple is discontinuing its third-generation Apple TV, according to a report by MacRumours.
The device has been removed from the Apple online store and links to the Apple TV 3 redirect to the fourth-generation Apple TV.
Apple stated in an email to staff that it was discontinuing the device, according to the report.
The Apple TV 3 was released in 2012 and given an upgrade in 2013. Apple revealed the 4th-gen Apple TV in 2015.
