Discovery has stated that Vitality members will be able to get the Apple Watch Series 2 from 14 October.
The new Apple Watch is available to Discovery Card holders through Vitality’s Active Rewards programme.
Discovery Card members will have to pay a non-refundable R600 activation fee to take advantage of the offer, and the model on offer is the Apple Watch Series 2 Sport 38mm.
The company said members require a Discovery Gold Card or higher with a straight limit of R15,000 and an available balance of at least R5,000 to qualify.
Vitality members must do the following to access the Apple Watch deal:
- Download the Discovery app on their iPhone.
- Navigate to Vitality Active Rewards and select Apple Watch.
- Click on the Get started button. (Only one member per Vitality policy can activate this benefit every 24 months.)
- Follow the process as instructed. Confirm your details and pay the R600 activation fee using your primary Discovery Card.
The activity goals and associated repayments work the same as the previous Apple Watch deal on Discovery.
“Discovery Vitality will set you a personalised Vitality Active Rewards goal each week. We will start calculating your weekly goals from the first full month after you collect your Apple Watch,” said Discovery.
“Once your Apple Watch is linked to Vitality, get active and earn Vitality fitness points to achieve your weekly Vitality Active Rewards goals.”
“These goals can increase or decrease based on your goal history.”
“If you don’t meet your goals in any given month, your primary Discovery Card will be debited by a monthly amount that is calculated as a percentage of the retail price.”
“This penalty will be reduced by your engagement in Vitality Active Rewards – the more goals you achieve, the lower your penalty.”
