Xiaomi has unveiled the Mi VR, a virtual reality headset for the Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, and new Mi Note 2.
The Mi VR has a 9-axis inertial motion controller and promises a 16 millisecond response time. It also comes with a remote control.
Its combination of dedicated motion sensor, system-level optimisations, and a high-performance smartphone reduces motion sickness significantly, said Xiaomi.
Xiaomi said its MIUI VR marketplace contains over 500 panoramic videos, 30 VR apps, and has over 200 registered developers.
In China, the Mi VR will sell for CN¥199 (R407). Local Xiaomi distributor Mobile in Africa group has not yet released local pricing.
