LG’s Hub Robot helps with household tasks

LG is showcasing its Hub Robot at CES 2017, which the company said takes the concept of the smarthome to the next level.

The Hub Robot uses Amazon Alexa’s voice recognition technology to complete household tasks, such as turning on an air conditioner or changing a dryer cycle.

The robot is also equipped with an interactive display that showcases information, such as images of contents inside a refrigerator.

Additionally, the Hub Robot offers the ability to play music, set alarms, create reminder memos, and provide weather and traffic updates.

LG’s Hub Robot can move and swivel in place and express a range of emotions by displaying a face on its display, said the company.

The Hub Robot is also designed to respond to consumers using body language, such as nodding its head when answering questions.

Additionally, it can identify different family members with its camera and can be programmed with a different greeting for each family member.
