Hisense has unveiled a short-throw laser projector capable of producing the equivalent of a 150-inch display.
The unit forms part of its Laser TV range, and the projector offers 4K resolutions along with built-in Harman/Kardon sound and a TV tuner.
In addition to the “room-filling sound” from Harman/Kardon, there are two other technologies that define its Laser TVs, said Hisense.
- A proprietary laser engine for which Hisense has filed over 400 patents.
- The digital light processing chip from Texas Instruments.
Texas Instruments said its 4K UHD chip is capable of delivering 8 million pixels on the screen – which exceeds the specifications for UHD resolutions.
Hisense is showing off its 150-inch Laser TV at CES in Las Vegas. No launch date or pricing was announced.
