Looxid Labs launches brain-monitoring VR headset

Looxid Labs has shown off its brain-monitoring VR headset.

The LooxidVR headset features built-in eye-tracking cameras and EEG sensors, allowing it to monitor the vision and brainwave activity of a user.

The device is a phone-based VR headset and is compatible with 5.0-inch smartphones running Android 7.1 or higher.

While the headset can be used for conventional VR applications, Looxid Labs is aiming its product at the VR research market.

The data acquired from the headset’s eye-tracking cameras and brainwave sensors will allow researchers to measure the effect virtual reality has on a user.

Looxid Labs will launch its LooxidVR headset on 1 February 2018.
