Huawei’s new Watch GT is coming to South Africa
Huawei has confirmed that its new Watch GT smartwatch will launch in South Africa later this year.
The smartwatch features a slim, lightweight design while offering high-end wearable specifications and includes a number of exercise-related software features.
Huawei’s Watch GT is water resistant up to 50m and includes a variety of sensors which can measure heart rate, movement, atmospheric pressure, and sleep patterns.
The smartwatch boasts a battery life of up to two weeks and is available in two designs – Sport and Classic.
Huawei South Africa chief technology officer Akhram Mohamed told MyBroadband that the Watch GT be available for purchase in South Africa from early December.
The two models of the Watch GT will be priced as follows:
- Watch GT Sport – R4,999
- Watch GT Classic – R5,499
The Watch GT Classic is also available as a pre-order gift for the first 500 customers to order the company’s new Mate 20 Pro smartphone.
