Cosmo Communicator – The pocket-sized computer
Planet Computers has announced the launch of a crowdfunding project for its new Cosmo Communicator device.
The Cosmo Communicator will be the next iteration of the company’s Gemini device, which was a pocket-sized laptop with a physical keyboard.
It aims to function as a pocket computer, camera, and mobile phone all in one, and sports a unique clamshell design to deliver on this promise.
The Cosmo Communicator includes dual-SIM support, dual touchscreen displays, a 24MP camera, and a foldable chassis design with QWERTY keyboard.
Planet Computers said the device will support Android 9.0 and Linux, and will include a multi-boot option.
At the time of writing, the Cosmo Communicator has already reached its funding goal and has raised almost $300,000.
Users can back the product on Indiegogo to qualify for the early bird delivery period, which is estimated to begin in May 2019.
