DJI has announced its new Osmo Action camera, which is poised to compete with GoPro’s range of action cameras.
The product is a direct competitor to the GoPro Hero 7 Black and is the first action camera built by DJI, offering high-end video recording capabilities along with a robust design.
DJI’s Osmo Action boasts a dual-screen display configuration, comprising a main touch screen for navigation and handheld viewfinding as well as a selfie screen on the front of the device.
The device has a 12MP camera which can record 4K 60fps HDR video and is waterproof up to 11 metres.
DJI Osmo Action owners can pair the device with the company’s Mimo app, which allows users to instantly edit videos or photos and share them to social media.
The device will be available from iStore, Takealot, and other major retailers in South Africa at the end of May 2019, and will be priced at R6,999.
