LG’s new OLED 88-inch 8K is now on sale, with a price tag of $42,000. This converts to just over R630,000.
The 8K OLED TV (model 88Z9), is on sale in select markets, including the US and the UK.
The TV features a 7,680 x 4,320 resolution, HDMI 2.1 support, and Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit support. Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa will be built in, in certain markets too.
Other features include Cinema HDR, support for Dolby Vision, and Advanced HDR by Technicolor.
“The new 8K TVs show that LG is deeply committed to providing consumers with real 8K as defined by established display industry standards,” said LG’s Brian Kwon.
