LG has announced that it will be introducing support for Nvidia’s G-Sync technology to some of its 2019 OLED TVs via a firmware update.
“The addition of NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatibility raises the bar once more, guaranteeing even more immersive big-screen PC gaming on the company’s industry-leading 4K OLED models,” said LG.
These TVs also offer a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, as well as input lag of 6ms for 1440p gaming, or 13ms for 4K.
The following 2019 OLED TVs will receive this update:
- E9 OLED – 55-inch and 65-inch
- C9 OLED – 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch
LG said that G-Sync support will roll out in select markets in the coming weeks, but since the supported TVs are not offered locally, South Africa will not be among the markets to benefit from the firmware update.
