Takealot to give R4 million back to customers
Takealot has announced that it will refund R4 million to customers who took part in its Rugby World Cup TV promotion.
Takealot customers who took part in the promotion were celebrating today when the Springboks beat England to win the Rugby World Cup.
The company’s Samsung TV promotion offered shoppers the opportunity to buy a TV, and win its value back, if the Springboks took top spot.
“Customers who purchased a selected Samsung TV during the promotional period will now receive a full refund from Takealot, thanks to the Springboks winning the tournament,” said Takealot.
346 Takealot customers took part in the promotion and bought Samsung TVs.
“All 346 shoppers… will be refunded the full value of their purchasing price. Just under 400 units across three different Samsung TV sets were made available, and collectively, amounted to R4 million, which will all be refunded to Bok fans.”
“This is in keeping with Takealot’s proudly South African, client-centric stance.”
