FNB smartphone and tablet deal set to continue

In October last year, FNB launched a tablet PC and smartphone deal that allowed users to buy devices such as the iPad 2 at reduced rates of up to 30 percent off, paid off over 24 months.

The deal is set to continue in 2012, with head of products at FNB Core Banking Solutions, Irlon Terblanche saying, “The offer has attracted a great response with over a thousand tablets and smartphones delivered per day in our record week.”

Terblanche continued, “The Apple iPad 2 accounts for more than 80% of the devices sold. The full range includes the Apple iPad 2, BlackBerry, Samsung and HTC tablets and smartphones. We are pleased with the extremely high level of demand. In total, we have delivered just over 35 000 tablets and smartphones.”

Devices are offered at fixed monthly payments, over two years with zero additional fees, interest or charges payable during the term.

The deal is available to customers with the following accounts:

  • FNB Gold and Platinum Cheque account
  • Young Professional account
  • FNB One Account
  • FNB Private Clients
  • Islamic Finance clients
