Best iPad 3 prices in SA

The iPad 3 (aka new iPad) was launched internationally in March 2012, and despite the fact that South Africa is yet to officially receive Apple’s latest tablet PC the device is already available from many local retailers.

Well known online retailers such as Kalahari and Wantitall are offering the iPad 3 to their clients through their import services, while other companies such as The Notebook Company and Simply Mac have imported the devices themselves and hence have the iPad 3 in stock.

People who want to own an iPad 3 before it is officially launched in South Africa (and do not want to import it themselves) will pay a premium for the device through local retailers. However, prices differ significantly from one shop to another, and consumers who shop around can save a lot of money.

New iPad 3 prices

While the iPad 3 with Wi-Fi and 4G is easy to come by in South Africa, the cheaper Wi-Fi only iPad 3 models are not widely available.

Wantitall is one of the only prominent online retailers carrying the Wi-Fi only iPad 3 models, with prices ranging between R6,694 and R8,665 per tablet PC.
