Nokia Lumia 710 launched in SA

Nokia announced the launch of the Lumia 710 today (23 April 2012), a more budget-friendly Windows Phone 7 device set to retail for R3,999 from Vodacom and Cell C.

Vodacom and Cell C previously told MyBroadband that they planned to sell the devices through their respective retail channels.

The Nokia Lumia 710 boasts a 3.7-inch WVGA (480×800) TFT display, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus and LED flash, 1.4GHz Qualcomm processor, 512MB RAM, and 8GB internal storage.

Running on Windows Phone 7.5, Nokia SA’s general manager, Colin Baumgart, said that the device offers the same functionality of the Nokia Lumia 800 at a lower price point.

8ta previously said that it plans to have the Nokia 710 available on its network in the second half of 2012, dependent on the delivery of the supplier.
