Takealot’s The Ultimate Checkout sale is live and will run until 28 July, with a wide range of tech deals available to South African consumers.

Notable deals include the Sony PlayStation Pulse Explore wireless earbuds for R3,499 and an 85-inch UHD TCL smart TV for R20,999, among many others.

When Takealot announced the sale, it promised great deals on its most wished-for, highest-rated, most-searched, and top-trending products.

“It’s all the deals shoppers really want,” Takealot stated.

“The Ultimate Checkout features some of the best deals of the year, all based on an analysis of aggregated behaviour and trends of over 90 million searches, reviews and wish lists from millions of shoppers.”

It added that consumers can expect deals from some of South Africa’s most popular brands to TikTok’s must-have products.

Takealot also offers Daily Deals on select products at 2023 Black Friday prices.

It will feature another bumper live stream event on 24, 25, and 26 July, with viewers standing a chance to score big prizes, exclusive coupons, entertainment, and other surprises.

Takealot’s recently launched TakealotMore subscription will also feature in The Ultimate Checkout.

“This subscription service offers unlimited fast, free delivery and collect options on Takealot,” it said.

TakealotMore subscribers will also benefit from a unique Takealot coupon offering an extra 20% off the Ultimate Checkout Sale with a maximum discount of R1,000.

While Takealot’s claims of epic savings hold true for many of the products, it is wise to use services like ServalTracker and Scrapy to ensure you’re getting a good deal.

Several products being promoted are actually more expensive than they were a few weeks ago.

MyBroadband looked for 10 of the best Takealot Ultimate Checkout tech deals available on 24 July 2024.

We used ServalTracker to determine which offers were good deals and excluded those that weren’t.

The deals we found include big savings on big-screen TVs, gaming accessories, laptops, earphones, networking equipment, and smartphones.

PC gamers looking for a capable and portable machine can grab an Acer Nitro V15 gaming laptop for R11,499.

This particular model features a 15.6-inch IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate, an Intel Core i5-13420H CPU, and a Nvidia GeForce RTX 2050 graphics card.

The components are paired with 8GB of DDR5 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage.

Takealot is also selling an MSI GeForce RTX 4070 Ti 16GB Gaming Slim graphics card for R21,999.

South African consumers looking for an affordable and capable smartphone can get the 4G Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for R3,999.

Movie, series, and streaming fans looking to upgrade their TV have several options from which to choose.

Notable TV deals include the 65-inch LG Nano776 UHD Smart TV for R10,999 and the 85-inch C645-series TCL UHD Android TV for R20,999.
