Samsung vs LG tablet-phone face-off

Samsung Galaxy Note 2

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 recently became available to order from Vodacom and MTN in South Africa, with Cell C saying that they expect to offer the device within the next 2 months.

After its initial unveiling at IFA in Berlin towards the end of August 2012, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 drew criticism for its display, which despite being larger than the original Note, came in at a lower resolution.

LG also announced a new version of its tablet/phone hybrid device towards the end of September 2012. The details available for the LG Optimus Vu II are preliminary, and for the Korean market only.

However, being one of the few new challengers to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2, it is interesting to include it in a comparison of hardware specifications.
