Korean electronics giant Samsung recently announced an Evolution Kit for its 2012 Smart TVs which it said lets you transform your year-old TV into a new 2013 Samsung Smart TV.
Samsung first introduced its evolution kits during CES 2012, promising ongoing hardware enhancements to components of the TV such as the central processor, memory, and graphics processor up to the level of the latest Smart TV.
According to Samsung, this will offer users greater responsiveness while browsing the Internet or multitasking by using apps while watching TV.
Samsung’s “Smart Interaction features” such as voice control and motion control will also be enhanced, the company said.
Once the Evolution Kit is attached to the slot, the 2012 Smart Hub is also transformed to the 2013 version.
