Sony extended warranty announced for South Africa
Sony South Africa announced today (10 May 2013) that it has introduced an extended warranty scheme on some of its consumer electronics ranges.
The extended warranty will now be valid for 24 months from date of purchase, and Sony said that this offer is backdated to any products bought on or after 1 May 2013.
According to Sony, the new warranty scheme applies to some of the most popular products in the Sony electronics range; including:
- Bravia television;
- Cyber-shot Digital Still Cameras;
- Interchangeable Lens Cameras; and
- Handycam camcorders (including the new Action Cam lifestyle camcorder).
The standard Sony Warranty terms and conditions apply to the extended warranty, details of which Sony said are available on its website.
