R385,000 TV hits South African store

Dion Wired announced in a press statement that it has the 85-inch Samsung ultra high definition (UHD) 85S9 television set available in some stores for R385,000.

This deal is only valid today (24 July 2013), Dion Wired said.

Samsung previously intimated that it may have to revise the pricing of its UHD TV after today. The price could be affected by a number of factors, including the strength of the Rand against foreign currencies.

Until recently the TV was only marketed to customers Samsung had specifically identified and invited to personal demonstrations at L’ancienne Residence in Saxonwold, Johannesburg.

According to Dion Wired, it is offering the deal along with Samsung and it includes the same perks offered by the Korean electronics giant:

• A five year exclusive warranty;
• free delivery;
• home installation; and
• four years of free hardware and software upgrades with the Samsung Smart Evolution Kit.
