Some of the largest retailers in South Africa have slashed the price of technology goods and services this week.

Consumers can enjoy significant price cuts on laptops, TVs and mobile data from retailers like Makro, Game, Dion Wired and Incredible Connection.

Some of the best gadget and tech deals available this weekend are listed below.

Vodacom Internet Starter Pack from Dion Wired – R99

Dion Wired has slashed the price of Vodacom’s prepaid Internet Starter Pack from the usual R399 to R99.

The Internet Starter Pack offers 1.2GB of data (100MB per month for 12 months) and a 3G USB modem.

The deal is available until 24 September 2013.

LG 55-inch Full HD LED TV from Makro – R9,999

Makro reduced the price of the LG 55-inch Full HD LED TV from R11,999 to R9,999. The TV sports an IPS panel, 2 x HDMI ports and a USB port.

Roccat XMG gaming laptop from Dion Wired – R13,000

Dion Wired cut the price of the Roccat XMG gaming laptop from the usual price of R25,000 to R13,000. The laptop has a 15.6-inch Full HD LED screen, an Intel i7-3610QM CPU, a 750GB HDD, 8GB of DDR3 RAM and a GTX675M GPU.
