Xbox One South African price and launch date

Xbox One family

Microsoft South Africa has announced that the Xbox One will be available in South Africa from 23 September 2014.

The standard 500GB console without Kinect and a single controller will sell for R6,299, while the addition of a Kinect will set you back R7,999.99 for the total package. The Kinect-less bundle also includes a 14-day Xbox Live Gold account.

“Every Xbox One system will include the Xbox One console — which features a 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray player and built-in Wi-Fi — one Xbox One Wireless Controller and a free 14-day trial of Xbox Live Gold for new members,” said Microsoft.

“The Xbox One gaming launch line up in South Africa will be colossal, bringing the best line up of exclusive blockbusters, including AAA titles like Forza Horizon 2 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection, which comes with the highly anticipated Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta.”
