Acer unveils “world first” super-wide gaming monitor

Acer has revealed the latest addition to its monitor lineup – the 34-inch XR341CKA curved gaming display.

The screen, according to Acer, is the first curved monitor to feature Nvidia G-Sync technology – which syncs your display’s refresh rate to your GPU – and is set to sell for $1,299 in the US.

The XR’s 34-inch screen sports a 21:9 aspect ratio, UltraWide QHD resolution (3440 x 1440), 178-degree viewing angles for a “deep immersion” when gaming, and a response time of 4ms.

Besides the visuals, the monitor delivers sounds through two 7W speakers and stands on an aluminium base.

“Acer continues to showcase its commitment to PC gaming with the introduction of their new Nvidia G-Sync-enabled XR341CKA gaming monitor,” said Jeff Fisher, senior vice-president of the GeForce business unit at Nvidia.
