Sony to launch PlayStation 4.5 soon: report
Sony will launch a “PlayStation 4.5” console – also referred to as the PlayStation 4K – soon. This is according to a report in the Wall Street Journal.
The report stated that the PS4.5 will be announced by Sony before the company launches its virtual reality offering – the PlayStation VR – in October.
The new PS4 will be able to push out higher resolutions, according to the report, with its upgraded hardware set to benefit the PlayStation VR headset.
While the console is also referred to as the PS4K, Digital Foundry stated it would not be able to produce 4K resolutions.
