SuperSport launches eSport ELeague coverage
SuperSport has announced it will broadcast ELeague, featuring 18 Counter-Strike: Global Offensive teams competing over 10 weeks.
“Debuting this week, the league is offering $1.2 million in prize money for the season,” said SuperSport.
“ELeague is at the forefront of eSport and we’re looking forward to charting this new frontier on both digital and television platforms,” said Gideon Khobane, CEO of SuperSport.
The games will be streamed live on supersport.com Mondays to Thursdays, with the final nights of each week’s league play broadcast live on SuperSport on Saturday mornings.
The competition runs through June and July and concludes with the global championship on 30 July.
