Pokémon Go hits 100 million installs

Pokémon Go has achieved 100 million installs on Android and iOS, and is generating $10 million in daily revenue.

App Annie reported that Pokémon Go achieved 100 million downloads globally over the weekend.

“The Pokémon Go phenomenon is showing little sign of losing steam,” said App Annie, adding that the game has introduced and popularised the concept of augmented reality with the masses.

“It has helped businesses understand the value of AR as in-game Lure Modules and sponsored locations effectively increased foot traffic – and consumer spend.”
