Razer acquires THX
Gaming brand Razer has acquired audio technology firm THX, in a deal which sees Razer hiring the management team and employees of THX.
THX was started by George Lucas in 1983 to develop audio-visual reproduction standards for movie theatres, as reported by VentureBeat.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to the report.
“This acquisition will allow us to reinforce Razer’s leadership in gaming and extend the brand into broader areas of entertainment,” said Razer.
