Steam adds support for PlayStation 4 controllers

Valve has added support for PlayStation 4 DualShock controllers to Steam, the company announced.

All the controller’s capabilities – including the trackpad and gyroscope – can be mapped to functions in Steam.

The controller will also have access to the APIs that Steam controllers do, settings to control the LEDs, and preferences for haptic feedback.

Support for the PlayStation 4 controller forms part of a larger update for the Steam client released this week.
