Nintendo’s Joy-Con controllers work on Windows and Android

The Nintendo Switch’s Joy-Con controllers can be used with other devices, including a Windows PC.

French Nintendo site Nintendo Actu discovered that the controllers can connect to Windows and Android devices via Bluetooth.

The controllers must be mapped using separate software, such as JoyToKey, in order to function properly.

Windows and Android games do not recognise the Joy-Con controller configuration natively, but after mapping the buttons on the controller to keyboard and mouse buttons, the controllers can be used in games.

Other Bluetooth devices such as the Nintendo Wiimote and PlayStation 4 controller can also connect to Windows and Android systems.
