HTC launches subscription service for VR gamers

HTC has launched a subscription service for its Viveport VR app marketplace.

A Viveport subscription allows HTC Vive owners to pay a monthly fee of $6.99 and gain access to games in the Viveport library.

Subscribers can choose five titles per month and can rotate their selection every month, gaining unlimited access to the apps they choose.

Users subscribed to Viveport can also purchase titles, permanently adding them to their library.

The company announced that all HTC Vive owners would receive a free one-month trial of the subscription service.

Customers can also redeem a free copy of Arcade Saga from Viveport on 5 April.

HTC also announced that users who buy an HTC Vive headset on 5 April will receive $100 off their purchase.
