Microsoft will launch pre-orders for the Xbox One X soon, according to Xbox head Phil Spencer.
The console has received approvals from the US Federal Communication Commission and all that remains is preparing the announcement.
“Our plan is set for this. All approvals are done so now just landing the announce with all the info, won’t be too much longer,” said Spencer on Twitter.
The news follows Microsoft’s Q4 financial results, which showed that Xbox hardware revenue declined by 29%. This was partly due to lower prices, but also due to Microsoft selling fewer units.
Overall gaming revenue increased by 3%, however – up $44 million. This was due to an 11% increase in revenue from software and service sales – particularly Xbox Live transactions, which increased significantly.
