Outlast was the best-selling game on Steam in South Africa in September, according to SteamSpy.
SteamSpy is run by game developer Sergey Galyonkin, who collects data from Steam as part of the SteamSpy project.
While Valve does not release official sales figures for Steam, Galyonkin uses data from user profiles to extrapolate findings – dividing them into country categories.
With Steam currently the dominant online platform for PC gaming, data from the service provides a good indication of popular PC titles in SA.
