Fortnite developer Epic Games announced it has acquired Finnish anti-cheat company Kamu.
Kamu created the Easy Anti-Cheat software which has already been deployed in Fortnite in addition to over 80 PC games. It is installed by over 100 million PC players globally.
“Kamu’s team and tools have been key to building a vibrant Fortnite multiplayer experience that’s fair for all players,” said Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney.
“Building and launching games today is incredibly challenging, and only half the battle.”
“Kamu’s tools for managing live games help developers grow and sustain their games successfully after launch,” he said.
Kamu will continue to provide services to other titles for now, and Epic Games said it aims improved its presence its Helsinki following the deal.
