Apex Legends reaches 25 million players in its first week

Respawn has revealed that its new Apex Legends battle royale game has seen impressive adoption following its launch last week.

The company announced that over 25 million users had signed up to play the game, with concurrent players peaking at over 2 million on the weekend.

Respawn also said the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge would take place on 12 and 19 February, pitting 48 of the biggest Twitch streamers against each other.

Limited-time Valentine’s Day loot will also be launched on 14 February, and the game’s Battle Pass will debut in March along with new Legends, weapons, and loot.

“From everyone here at Respawn, thank you,” Respawn said.

“The community’s excitement for Apex Legends is electric, and we feel it here at the studio.”
