IT-watchdog taking on Sony
Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security said Friday the information provided by Sony “has failed to quell doubts” on the network’s security following last month’s massive breach that affected over 100 million online accounts.
It said the Japanese firm has left several questions unanswered and also failed to meet with the agency.
Sony’s PlayStation network is a system that links gamers worldwide in live play.
Sony Corp. began partially restoring its PlayStation Network service in the U.S., Europe and elsewhere on Sunday after shutting down the service following the April 20 security breach.
