The Communication Workers Union are demanding the removal of the Minister of Communications Faith Muthambi.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, CWU Secretary General Aubrey Tshabalala said that they are prepared to march to Luthuli House to demand the removal of Muthambi.
The CWU was very unhappy about the fact that Muthambi has been “avoiding a meeting with the union”.
The union also highlighted many problems in the South African communications market, including poor management at the SABC, and the “takeover” of the broadcaster by Muthambi.
Tshabalala also lashed out at the reluctance of the government to provide enough funding to rescue the Post Office.
