President Jacob Zuma has stated that the ANC is more powerful than it has ever been, while addressing a crowd outside the party’s provincial offices in Durban on 25 June.
According to a report by News24, Zuma said “people can say whatever they want to say, but we are working on correcting what the apartheid government did”.
“We are more powerful than ever. We need to take care of God’s children. We are looking after them, no one is crying. If they are, then they are sent by a zombie,” said Zuma.
Zuma said the ANC wants “everyone’s votes” in the upcoming municipal elections, and that members of other parties should vote for it.
Zuma asked citizens to wake up at 03:00 on voting day and fetch the elderly to vote.
“Every vote counts. We are not playing, do you hear me? We are the future of South Africa, we built South Africa,” he said.
