Matric results 2016 – Where to get them

The Department of Basic Education will announce the 2016 National Senior Certificate examination results on 4 January.

Minister Angie Motshekga will announce the outcome on SABC 1, eNCA, and the department’s website at 18:00.

Learners will get their individual results on 5 January.

Apart from going to their school or exam centre, there are multiple ways learners can get their 2016 matric results.

Matric results published in major newspapers

The 2016 matric results will be published in most major newspapers. Learners’ exam numbers will be used instead of their names.

SMS service

Learners can send their ID number and exam number via SMS to 35658.

Both numbers must have 13 digits to be accepted. SMS messages are charged at R1 per SMS.

USSD service

Learners can dial *120*35658# and put in their ID number and exam number to register. Once the results are available, users will get their results per subject.

DBE website

Matric learners’ partial results will be made available on the Department of Basic Education website on 5 January from 06:00.

Matric 2016 results online

Learners can get their results online using the matric 2016 results portals from News24, eNCA, and EWN.
