New ICASA CEO confirmed

Pakamile Pongwana will be the new CEO for the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (Icasa) from 1 November 2013.
That’s the word from the regulator’s chairperson, Stephen Mncube.
According to Mncube, the current CEO, Themba Dlamini, completes his three-year contract at the end of October 2013.
“The Chairperson and Council would like to express its sincere gratitude to Mr Dlamini for his contribution to the successful operations of the Authority during his tenure, and wishes him well in his future endeavours,” Icasa said in a statement.
Pakamile Pongwana was previously the Managing Executive – Regulatory Affairs at Vodacom since 2005.
Pongwana previously served as Deputy Director General: Telecommunications Policy for the Department of Communications.
Pongwana holds a Master of Business Leadership and Organizational Leadership from UNISA, as well as a Bachelor of Accounting Science from Walter Sisulu University.
