Another broadband policy workshop

The Ministry of Communications said in a press statement today (8 November 2013) that it will be hosting a two day International Broadband Policy Workshop at the CSIR International Convention Centre on 11-12 November 2013.
According to the Ministry, the workshop brings together 16 international experts from 14 countries throughout the world, including some from the World Bank and the International Telecommunication Union.
These experts will assist South Africa to benchmark its broadband policy and learn how other countries developed and implemented their broadband policies, the Ministry said.
A range of experts have been invited to comment on the latest draft of the Broadband Policy and Plan, which is entitled “South Africa Connect: Creating Opportunities, Ensuring Inclusion”, the Ministry said.
The workshop is hosted with the support of the the SA-EU Dialogue Facility.
