E-toll website security issue, PINs reset

Sanral informed its registered e-toll users that their online e-toll PIN will be re-set following a possible security breach of the company’s online system.
Sanral’s e-toll helpdesk confirmed that they have been alerted of a possible security problem with its online system, which necessitated the PIN resets.
According to Sanral’s helpdesk they have no clear evidence that accounts have been compromised.
Investigation into the possible security breach is ongoing, the helpdesk agent said, adding that there is currently no information that any road users’ accounts were harmed.
Sanral was contacted for information about the security issue, but the company did not respond by the time of publication.
