Brother’s solution for reliable, high-volume printing

Brother MFC-J200

The Brother MFC-J200 is a great workhorse that will serve the individual with high-volume printing requirements, or a small business, well.

The Brother MFC-J200 Ink Benefit is a nice-looking, easy-to-use printer which is not only reliable, but can handle high volumes while not breaking the bank.

Design

The MFC-J200 is a lightweight printer that is well designed with ease of use in mind. The print cartridges and paper tray are at the front of the machine so replacing both is quick and easy.

Brother has also included a portable paper feeder to ensure topping up on paper is an easy task.

Functionality

Brother’s MFC-J200 is a multi-function device that allows you to print, fax, scan, and copy documents. It has Wi-Fi capabilities so you can connect to your PC via the wireless network, or, alternatively, you can download their iPrint & Scan app for your iPad or iPhone and manage the process from your device.

You can also scan documents directly to your Apple devices (it supports Android and Windows 7 as well, although this was not tested).

There is an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that allows for unattended copying and scanning for up to 20 sheets.

The high capacity, 4-cartridge ink system has the cost benefit of allowing you to replace only the cartridge that runs low. Printing is also cost efficient with the black cartridge printing 2,400 standard pages and 1,300 colour pages.

One of the features that was particularly appealing was the Laminated Piezo Print Head. Don’t let this snippet of technical jargon put you off – all it means is that the print head is reinforced to make it durable – which is essential for a printer touted as suitable for high print volumes.
